Lean Accounting

A lot has been said about this recently with times of Austerity adding to the degree of real time and operational information required which puts the Accounts function under stress to provide this information.
The issue here is that 'Lean Accounting 'is not new, it is just that more transparency and timeliness is required for decision makling purposes. This places a strain on the Accounts function as it is required to produce more timely and reliable information that is relevant to process flow rather than post hoc monthly information. Merger Accounting
